TECS offers for you to stay with us for an academic year in our Elite school or in a state school in the local area.  Our Elite school The English School ‘El Centro Ingles’ is one of the best schools in the province of Cadiz which ranges from the ages of 2 years old to 18 years old.  El Centro Ingles was founded in 1969  and is classified as a complete Billingual school ranging from 2 year olds, Infant education, Primary Education, Secondary Education to 18 year olds, A-Level (Bachillerato)

We have an International Department that takes care of each individual student who comes to the school and gives a continuous support throughout the students stay. 

The student can enjoy their stay in the school and live the life of a normal Spaniard, especially that the student would be hosted in a local family of the school or a family who live close to the school.  Students can choose their preferred option subjects to study whilst with us and can also take extra Spanish classes and sports classes during free time, as the student is totally immersed in the cultural environment so will learn and improve the language at a rapid pace, due to the fact that depending on the entry year there is a certain percentage of the subjects in Spanish and in English, with a higher percentage of Spanish. Of course, the communication with the host family and living the Spanish lifestyle, in and out of the school, would complete a full immersion, exciting and unforgettable experience.

We would ask the student to complete a register form, explaining about their family, likes and dislikes.  So that we can match up the student and host family, as best as possible, taking into account the age of the student and the host family members. Also for us to confirm that the student is ready for this type of immersion experience. 

 Our department here also has ongoing support and tutorials with the student to make sure that they are doing well during their stay and would send reports back home to let the parents know how their child is doing.  The students have the opportunity in staying with the host family during the holiday periods, such as Christmas and Easter to complete their learning environment throughout the whole year with a Spanish family, although if want to return home, this can be organised.

The student has the possibilities of doing examinations with our school with the Spanish Ministry of Education that is recognised in the European Union to validate their year experience and examination results, or that our school give a certificate at the end of the year to show for the students participation during the year with us.
