TECS accommodates groups and school groups for the Spanish in Spain Programmes.  A group of students can join us for a week or longer if wish during the year and in the summer to incorporate in one of our programmes that can be personalised for the wishes and needs of the group.  This can mean that the group are hosted in local families individually or in pairs and can choose and adapt their programme of activities to their needs.

If the group wishes to have an activity programme, the group would join us at our school for part of their stay for their Spanish classes and activities with our school such as during the year go into a class in our elite school and have a conversational activity, so they would be able to get to know Spanish students of the similar age, we can organise for example a basketball match the school group to play against our school students and then visit the local fascinating cultural and traditional areas, and be hosted in a local experienced host family.

A typical group stay is for one week.  Which consists of ten hours of Spanish Class in correct class levels to their abilities and level of Spanish, given by the school or can be level tested within the first session.  The classes are taught by our native fully qualified and experienced Spanish Teachers to learn and develop the Spanish language. Students also learn about the Spanish cultures and traditions especially of the local area for example the group practically take part in a flamenco dance class and learn about the traditions of flamenco dancing and music, as it is a very strong culture in our region. 

The Spanish classes are very practical and focused so that the students can then practice their Spanish in and outside of the class.  The classes are usually held in the mornings, so that then the group can go out on a trip to see the beautiful towns, cities and monuments around us. 

Our Chaperone of the group meets the group at the airport and brings the group back to TECS to then meet their host families, who then take them home.  The students usually spend one full day (Sunday) with their host families and then from Monday – Friday join us in TECS and go on excursions.  Each day the group meets up at TECS, have the Spanish classes and then go accompanied with our Spanish chaperone to see the local sites and enjoy and practice their Spanish and learn about the local history and culture by doing little quizzes and activities in small groups.
Depending on the day the group would either have lunch at our school from our Mediterranean diet or take a pack lunch prepared from out school catering company to have during the excursion.
After the excursion our chaperone brings the group back to TECS and some of the students get on the local bus to go back to their host families or the host family picks up the students.
Our chaperone has an emergency mobile phone in case of any need for the host family, group leaders or students.

The group finish their week very tired but full with knowledge about our area, a development in their Spanish and are able to bring back with them an unforgettable experience with us and of course of their experience of living in a typical Spanish family.
